Imam Abdallahrahman pointed out the absence of genuine and complete Islamic and Arabic development of a Muslim child in government primary and secondary schools.
"The successive governments after the demise of late premier of the Northern region, Ahmadu Bello and late prime Minister, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa did not know how to really address the problem," he stated.
He said when a child goes to school and returns home, parents that know the relevance of such education send their wards to another Islamiyyah school to undertake Quranic lessons.
"This has clearly shown that government over the years have not been giving the Muslim child the complete and desired education he needs to be a complete Muslim that is fully imbibed with moral, spiritual and devotional duties to his creator as well as his fellow human beings," he added.
He said such neglect by the government is what has led to the bad state of corruption in the country.
"I feel, giving the right attention to full Quranic memorisation, its studies, Arabic and Islamic studies at the primary and secondary schools level, corruption would be curb much faster than the EFCC," he advised.
He lamented that a few individuals made efforts to set up private Islamic schools that fell short of standard.
"The children from these schools were not any better than those from government primary schools, except those that cut off themselves from the so-called, stereo-typed, orchestrated curriculum of education imposed by government on both public and private schools," he reasoned.
He said CAAIS was established to respond to teach Arabic and Islamic educations, adding that all Muslims should render assistance to the centre in order to allow it continue its noble work.
