A member of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly representing Kokona west, Hon. Ishaq Ahmed Kana has flagged off the vaccination of ten thousand cattles against rinderpest and other cattle disease in his constituency.

Speaking during the ceremony in Bakin Ayeni village in Konona Local Government Area of the state, Hon Kana stated that the gesture was in fulfillment of his campaign promises to the people.

According to him, the gesture was borne out of his desire to assist the Fulani cattle hardsmen to enhance their socio-economic wellbeing.

He assured them of his readiness to come to their aid in the areas of water supply, education, health and other social services.

The lawmaker commended the Fulani community for their peaceful co-existence with other members of the society and urged them to continue to uphold such noble spirit in the interest of development.

Hon. Ishaq Kana who is the House committee chairman on education, science and technology further tasked the Fulani community to give special attention to the education of their children by sending them to schools to acquire both western and Islamic education inorder to secure their future.

Earlier in his welcome address the director of personnel management DPM Agwada Development Area, Alhaji Abdullahi Danda Osanga thanked Hon Ishaq A. Kana for the gesture and urged him to continue with the works he has started, describing him as a worthy representative of the people.
