NYSC member constructs 2-bedroom flat

A member of the National Youth Service Corps (NTSC) Abubakar Mukhtar has constructed a two-bedroom flat and an underground reservoir at Government Girls Secondary School Independence Way-Kaduna.
The building, according to Mukhtar was part of his contribution to ease accommodation problem faced by NYSC members posted to the school.
Speaking at the commissioning of the project, the state commissioner of Education, Alhaji Lawal Kauru thanked Mukhtar for his kind gesture.
He said the two-bed room flat would greatly help in addressing accommodation problem in the school.
The commissioner who spoke through the principal of the school, Mrs. J.L Toro called on the NYSC secretariat to honour Mukhtar with an award for a job well-done with a view to encouraging others.
In his speech, the state co-ordinator of NYSC, Mr Ogo-Ochi E.A. described the project as an indelible mark which would go a long way to ease the accommodation problem being encountered by the corps members in the school.
He then advised the remaining corps members to be community developers stressing that "other corps members should look in ward to develop the communities they are serving in".
According to him NYSC members were potential leaders, moral boosters and role models to the up-coming youths.
