A ghastly motor accident which occurred at the Nasarawa city gate in Nasarawa Local Government Area of Nasarawa State has left three persons dead.

The ill-fated Volkswagen Golf car,, according to eye witness, loaded about 50 gallons of premium motor spirit (petrol) from Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, on his way to Tudun-Uku, about 20km from Nasarawa Local Government when the accident occurred.

The vehicle driver was said to have lost control while speeding in the early morning rain penultimate Sunday and hit the central pillar of the gate.

Nigerian Newsday gathered that the vehicle immediately burst into flames while the driver and the two passengers aboard the vehicle were burnt beyond recognition.

It would be recalled that, a few years ago, a bus belonging to Owodunmi and Sons motors crashed at the same gate killing many passengers amongst them youth corps members.
