Donor agencies commend Gov Doma on 13-point agenda

Donor agencies operating in Nasarawa State have urged Governor Aliyu Akwe Doma to sustain the momentum in executing his 13-point agenda for socio economic and political development of the state and its people.
Rising from their meeting with the state commissioner for information and orientation held at the Ibrahim Abacha Youth Centre, the donor agencies commended the governor’s foresight for focusing on education and health care delivery.
A five-point communiqué issued at the end of the meeting also commended Governor Doma for paying up to N10 million as its counterpart funding to UNFPA to facilitate the execution of its programmes and projects in the state, noting that the gesture was capable of enhancing the desired partnership between the government and agencies.
The communiqué which was jointly signed by the Director of Orientation, Rayyanu Bala, the Director of Admin and supplies, Kasim Suleiman, Deputy Director PCE, Tukura Danladi Sule, Deputy Director RRD, Veronica Ogbole and Principal Information Officer Tanimu Muktar Kpanja, called for collaborative action between the department of orientation in the ministry and donor agencies in areas of sensitization and mobilization as a means of achieving desired goals and objectives.
Also, at the meeting an appeal was made to the state government to constitute a board of directors for Nasarawa State AIDs Control Agency (NASACA) so as to ensure proper management in view of the commitment towards eradicating the HIV/AIDS scourge in the state.
