The executive secretary of Relevant Technology Board in Nasarawa State, Alhaji Usman Adams, has said the board was fully ready to take up new challenges with the upgrading of its four trade centres to full fledged skills acquisition centres.

Alhaji Adams who stated this in an interview with Nigerian Newsday in Lafia recently described government pronouncement on the upgrading of the trade centres in Doma, Lafia, Wamba and Nasarawa as "a dream come true".

He said with the recent government upgrading of the centres, the seven skills acquisition centres would now increase to 20 and that they would be evenly spread in each of the three senatorial zones in the state.

Alhaji Adams then called on the youths in the state to reciprocate the good gesture of the government by participating actively in the skills acquisition programmes.

He said when the centres become fully operational the state would have enough craftmen in almost all the trades in the near future.

According to Alhaji Adams, with the upgrading of the centres the board would require additional materials and called on the government to purchase the needed equipment to enable the board discharge its functions well.

Alhaji Adams then thanked Governor Aliyu Akwe Doma for making the board realized it set objectives.

He said the board would on its parts justify the confidence reposed on it by working tirelessly to take relevant education to a level that it would help in moving the state forward.

Alhaji Adams then advised the youths to register at any of the centres to enable them become self-reliant instead of begging, gossiping or engaging in some social vices that would ruin their lives.
