A member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Ahmed Aliyu Wadada representing Keffi-Karu-Kokona Federal Constituency of Nasarawa State has formally launched his N7.5m education endowment fund in his constituency as well as performed the distribution of free exercise books and other educational materials worth millions of naira to some pupils and students in his constituency.

Launching his programme separately in Keffi, Karu and Kokona Local Government Areas respectively, recently, Hon. Wadada lamented that his decision to launch the scheme was part of his desire to contribute his own quota to the development of education in his constituency in fulfillment of his campaign promises to the electorate.

According to him having realized that education was cardinal and significant to the general progress of any society, he felt that it was necessary to invest in the sector.

He then called for equitable and just distribution of the scholarship fund to all the qualified indigent students irrespective of their social, political and religious background.

The lawmaker also explained that the endowment fund would be managed in such a way that it would be generating additional fund to make it sustainable and effective to the services of the indigent students.

In their various remarks, the Abaga Toni, Esu Karu, Osu Agwada, Hon. Rapheal Sa’aka Alhaji Baban Saboa, Director of Personnel Management (DPM) Kokona Local Government Area and his Keffi counterpart thanked Hon. Wadada for his remarkable support to education which they described as laudable to the educational advancement of the people of the area.

They further tasked him to continue to give emphasise to the services of the people as part of reciprocating the mandate given to him saying that his representation in the National Assembly has been quite satisfactory and encouraging.

Each of the three local government areas in his constituency received N2.5m, 5,000 exercise books and about 5,000 writing materials.
