Youths in Nasarawa State have been advised to embrace the laudable economic empowerment programmes of the Governor Aliyu Akwe Doma administration so as to contribute their quota to the development of the state.

The Sangarin Deddere, Alhaji Balarabe Saeed Muhammad Alhassan IV, who gave the advice in an interview with Nigerian Newsday in his palace recently said, all hands must be on deck to ensure the overall development of the state and its people.

The traditional ruler expressed satisfaction with the various policies and programmes embarked upon by the state government particularly those geared towards the empowerment of youths to engage in profitable ventures for a more secured future.

Commending on the state government efforts at providing agricultural facilities to the rural populace, the royal father described the distribution of fertilizers and other farm implements as the most effective method at reaching down to the real farmers, maintaining that the current farming season holds a brighter prospect of achieving success.

The journalist -turned traditional ruler made a passionate appeal to members of the National Assembly to expedite action on the passage of the Freedom of Information Bill, that has continued to suffer set back despite its clear objective of aiding the way forward for the government and the governed.

Alhaji Alhassan also charged teachers and the federal government to go back to the roundtable so as to find a lasting solution to their disagreements which, according to him, has continued to deny children their rights to better education and future.

He described the relationship between traditional rulers and state governments as cordial, stressing that government programmes and policies have continued to attract public appeal due to the involvement of traditional rulers in serving as links between the government and the people for more effective mobilization and orientation.
