Chairman of Board of Trustees of the Nigeria College of Aviation Technology, Zaria, Alhaji Isiyaka Dauda has commended Nasarawa State Government under the leadership of Alhaji Aliyu Akwe Doma for the rehabilitation and construction of rural roads within and around the state.
Alhaji Dauda who was one time commissioner of Agriculture in Nasarawa State made this commendation while speaking with Nigerian Newsday in an exclusive interview recently at his residence in Lafia.
He said the roads construction work was a clear demonstration of the Governor Doma led administration’s concern for rural people.
He said motorable roads would serve as links for rural people to transport their products to the markets easily.
He called on the people of Nasarawa state to support the state administration in its effort to the take the state to greater hights. He urged wealthy indigenes of the state to invest in the state economy.
The former commissioner also called on Governor Doma and Independent National Electional Commission to as a matter of urgency conduct local government election in the state.
He said, it was the responsibility of the state government to plan for the local government election, adding that election is a vital ingredient for any democracy to succeed.
He further urged the state government to sponsor indigenes to the School of Aviation, Zaria.
