The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Nasarawa State, Mr. Yunana Iliya has said that the incessant crises among youths in the Nasarawa southern senatorial zone calls for drastic measures to avoid break down of law and order.

Making the statement in an interview with Nigerian Newsday in Lafia, the state capital, he said PDP would not fold it’s arms and allow such crisis to continue.

He said anyone found to have a hand in the crisis would be punished "I have been to Kadarko, and have seen things for my self. Any PDP member that is involved would be punished", Mr Iliya said.

The PDP chairman appealed to youths to shun violence and avoid being used as political thugs. "I am appealing to them to change for the better", he stated.

Mr Iliya traced the cause of the southern zone crisis to complains arising from the just concluded wards congress election, assuring that the areas of contention were being looked into with a view to resolving them amicably.

Mr. Iliya advised the newly elected PDP ward officials to embrace all members and serve them well.
