Former governor of Nasarawa State, Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu, has expressed his satisfaction with the performance of the Nasarawa State University (NSUK), Keffi, in its few years of existence.

Alhaji Adamu, whose administration established the state-owned university, said the successes so far recorded by the institution, has placed Nasarawa State in the rank of the educationally advanced states in the country.

Speaking to the pioneer graduates of the university at his Keffi residence, Alhaji Adamu expressed his joy with the developments in the institution, saying that "the seed planted has begun to bear fruits".

He charged the pioneer graduates to remain the true vanguards of the university and the nation at large, noting that the huge investment made on them and the institution would be meaningless if they failed to make proper use of the knowledge they have acquired for the benefit of the society.

While assuring of his readiness to assist them whenever he was called upon to do so, the former governor enjoined the graduates to cultivate a cordial relationship with the Governor Aliyu Akwe Doma-led administration, stressing that the relationship that existed between his administration and the university should be extended to the present administration so as to sustain the pace of development in the institution.

Earlier, the leader of the pioneer graduates of NUSK, Mr. Ewa Olugbo, who presented a souvenir to Alhaji Adamu, said the members of the association were in Keffi to say "thank you" to the former governor for laying a solid foundation for the development of the state.

Mr. Olugbo, who described NSUK as the best university in the country, assured of their "resolve to always remain at the forefront of championing the cause of the institution and uphold the dreams of its founder".
