PDP in Nasarawa State has suspended three of its members for their involvement in what the party has described as anti-party activities

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Nasarawa State has suspended three of its members for their involvement in what the party has described as anti-party activities.

Those who were suspended by the party included Senator John Danboyi, Alhaji Yusuf Amwe and Alhaji Kalo Gwamna.

A statement signed by the state publicity secretary of the party, Alhaji Hassan Abubakar II, said following allegations of anti-party activities leveled against the trio, the state PDP working committee swung into action and found them guilty of floating a parallel office of the party in Akwanga Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

According to the statement the decision to suspend the three members of the party was in line with article 21 paragraph A, B, F, H, I, J and K of the party’s constitution.

It further said that a 7-man disciplinary committee has been constituted to further look into the activities of the suspended members of the party. Members of the disciplinary committee included, Alhaji Zanwa Akwanga as chairman, Hon. Joseph Agbo Ishekpa, Mrs. Comfort Ishaya and Barrister Tanimu Adabson.

Others are Alhaji Bako Laminga, Alhaji Zakari Yakubu and Barrister Hassan Anya Yakubu who is to serve as the secretary of the committee.

The party advised the affected persons to appear before the disciplinary committee at a date and time to be decided by the committee. It noted that the suspended persons were among those who have benefited from the PDP administration in the state, wondering how they would turn round to "destroy the house they supposedly built."

The statement warned that the PDP in Nasarawa State would not condone acts of indiscipline amongst its members.

It called on its members and supporters to shun and dissociate themselves from the illegal act of the suspended persons.
