Mallam Yakubu Anung says education is the best legacy parents can bequeath their children

By Titus Mangut, Wamba

The paramount ruler of Ron Kulere community in Karu Local Area of Nasarawa state, Mallam Yakubu Anung has said that education was the best legacy parents should bequeath on their children.

The community leader stated this at a send forth dinner for members of National Association of Plateau State Students (NAPSS) of Government Girls College, Wamba branch.

He said parents should ensure proper education of their children for the overall development of the country.

Mallam Anung also appealed to Non-Governmental Organisations to assist government in promoting girl-child education pointing out that women’s roles do not end in the kitchen only.

Earlier in his speech, the patron of NAPSS in the college Mr. Barnabas Golmaka advised the out-going students to be good ambassadors of the college where ever they go.

He cautioned them to be careful as they were going into the larger society stressing that they should work hard in order to succeed in life.

Mr. Golmaka appealed to parents and guardians to always support their wards in their efforts to build a formidable association and Plateau state adding that the association will support all its members where ever they are.
