The Crisis that engulfed the national leadership of Eggon Cultural and Development Association (ECDA) for about one and half years has been resolved.

It would be recalled that the paramount ruler of Eggon land, the Aren Eggon, Mr. Bala Abene Angbazu had in the wake of the crisis dissolved the national executives of ECDA under the chairmanship of Alhaji Zakari Umaru Kigbu and constituted a caretaker committee headed by Mr. Joseph Envuladu, on the grounds of gross misconduct, disloyalty and disrespect to the stool of the Aren Eggon.

But recently a ten-man reconciliatory committee was constituted to find a lasting solution to the problem facing the association.

The committee had the District Head of Mada Station Alhaji Musa Aliyu as chairman while Mallam Mohammed Alaku was the secretary.

After series of dialogue and consultations with the feuding groups in the association, the committee dissolved the caretaker executive appointed to oversee the affairs of ECDA.

The reconciliation committee also resolved to reinstate the grand patron of the association, the Aren Eggon who was allegedly suspended by the sacked executives saying that the action is highly regretted.

It further said that, the dissolution of ECDA and Eggon Youth Movement (EYM) excos has been nullified and that they should therefore carry on with their official functions.

The reconciliatory committee said that resolutions so far taken were to allow all the aggrieved parties to withdraw their cases in court and as a sign of respect for the paramount Eggon land traditional ruler, and to allow peace to reign in the entire community.
