Nasarawa State Governor, Alhaji Aliyu Akwe Doma has reiterated his administration’s commitment to the struggle for a better Nigeria.

He stated this when members of the Northern Union led by its leader, Alhaji Olusola Saraki, paid him a courtesy call at his office in Lafia, last week.

Governor Doma said efforts by the Northern Union to reposition Nigeria was commendable, assuring the union of his administration’s support.

He told the union that his government was committed to the cause of a united and prosperous northern Nigeria in particular and the country as a whole.

The governor expressed his happiness with the visit, saying that his administration would not relent in its efforts to transform Nasarawa into a viable state.

Earlier, leader of the team, Alhaji Olusola Saraki, said the aim of the visit was to commend the governor for his people-oriented programmes.

He said the Nasarawa State Government’s policies and programmes which were aimed at improving the living standards of the people deserved the support and cooperation of all and sundry.

He called on Governor Doma to remain focused in his determination to transform the state, assuring him of the union’s support.

Other members who accompanied the Northern Union’s chairman on the courtesy call at Shendam Road Government House included Chief John Wash Pam, Alhaji Sha’aba Lafiaji and Alhaji Isa Bukar.
