Hon Egya pledges support for FRSC

A member of the Federal House of Representative, representing Nasarawa – Toto Federal constituency, Honourable Samuel Azamu Egya, has pledged to support the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Keffi unit command to enhance its activities in the area.
Receiving the zonal commander of the commission, who paid him a courtesy visit in his office recently, Honourable Egya lamented that he would partner with the commission towards ensuring that officers of the corps discharge their duties satisfactorily.
He said, since the business of ensuring road safety in the nation’s road was everybody’s responsibility, he would not rest his oars in ensuring that he partner with the FRSC in making the roads safe for motorists.
"As a major stakeholder in the road safety business, we are partnering to reduce the rate of accident in the area for the benefit of all and subdry," he stated.
On their request for the repair of their office accommodation, Honourable Egya pledged to assist them in that regards, pointing out that he would ensure that they were assisted in order to do their work for the betterment of the people.
He commended the Federal Road Safety Commission for its efforts in creating road safety awareness to the people in order to reduce the rate of accidents in the highways, appealing to road users to cooperate with the FRSC towards reducing the rate of accidents in our roads.
Speaking about the efforts being made by the state government in the construction of road network across the state, the lawmaker described the developmental gesture as quite significant to the socio-economic upliftment of the people.
Earlier, the zonal commander of the FRSC in Keffi, has solicited for the support of the lawmaker to enable serve the people better.
According to him, the corps was doing its best towards reducing the road accidents through the constant enlightenment to the people, particularly road users.
