Nasarawa State Government has donated items worth thousands of naira to the New Nigerian Newspapers (NNN) Limited.

The items which include 10 units of computers, 20 units of UPS, five printers, five scanners and one server, were delivered to the newspaper house last week.

Speaking shortly after making the presentation, the Nasarawa State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Alhaji Abdullahi Mustapha Aliyu, who represented the state governor, Alhaji Aliyu Akwe Doma, said Nigeria’s history would not be complete without the mention of the significant role being played by the New Nigerian Newspaper in promoting unity and development of the country.

The commissioner reaffirmed the determination of Governor Aliyu Akwe Doma and the people of Nasarawa State to partner with the organization for the continued development of the nation.

He said the items were donated to help the organization to improve on its service delivery, urging the management of the company to make good use of the items donated so as to achieve the desired objectives.

In his speech, the Managing Director of NNN, Mr. Ndanusa Alao, expressed his appreciation to the Nasarawa State Government for donating the items.

He called on other state governors, most especially the northern state governors, to emulate the Nasarawa State Government’s gesture, saying the items donated would contribute in no small measure towards the development of the company.
