Director of Personnel Management (DPM) of Keana Local Government Area in Nasarawa State, Alhaji Abdullahi Umar Elayo has commended Governor Aliyu Akwe Doma for according traditional institutions in Nasarawa state their deserved respect.

Alhaji Elayo stated this during the presentation of a Peugeot car with a siren to the Osana of Keana Senator Emmanuel O. Elayo in his palace recently.

The DPM called on the people to support the Osana to develop the Keana chiefdom.

He further assured the people of the readiness of the present administration to provide social amenities for them.

He enjoined the people to accord adequate support and assistance to the traditional ruler to enable him succeed.

He charged the people to be peace loving and be their brothers’ keepers at all times.

Earlier, the Osana Senator Elayo commended the efforts of the DPM in improving the welfare of traditional rulers in the area.

The royal father also commended Governor Doma for awarding the contract for Keana rural water scheme in the area.

Senator Elayo then urged the people of his domain to embrace peace at all times and work harder for the physical development of the area.

In another development, the Senator representing the Nasarawa state southern senatorial district, Senator Solomon A. Adokwe has donated a canoe to the people of Maudu in Doma Local Government Area to facilitate transportation to neighbouring communities.

 Senator Adokwe said the canoe was donated to reduce the hardship faced by the Maudu community, especially in the raining season.

He called on the communities to use the canoe properly for the purpose it was made.

Earlier, the spokeman of the community Mr. Sunday D. Allu commended the law maker for the donation and assured the senator that the canoe would be used judiciously.

Mr. Allu said with the annoe children would find it easy to attain schools in neighbouring villages.

Also, Speaker  the chairman of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Doma Local Government Area. Alhaji malam Yahaya Sarkin-Noma commended Senator Adokwe for donating the canoe to Moudu community.

The ward head of Moudu, Malam T-Tiya thanked senator Adokwe for the gesture and assured him of propare use of the canoe.
