The business manager, Kafanchan business unit of Power Holding Company of Nigeria, (PHCN) Mr. Yusuf Karik, has apoligised on behalf of the company over the erratic power supply being experienced in Kafanchan and its environs.
He expressed the apology while speaking to our reporter in his office in Kafanchan last week.
Mr. Karik said the erratic power supply was due to shortage of gas at the hydro generating plant.
The manager said that the Kafanchan business unit only receives ten megawatts out of about forty that was required for adequate supply.
He then appealed to customers to be patient, as there were plans to procure a 132KV line from Jos to boost power supply in the area.
He also lamented the activities of vandals and called on communities to be vigilant, saying their activities affect both the company and the general public.
Mr. Karik further urged customers to always channel their complaint to the public relations officer or the business unit manager.
Commenting on the issue of electricity bills, the business manager commended customers in the area for their cooperation and called on them to maintain the good spirit to pave way for better services.
