Ambassador Sulaiman Azores Assumes Duty As Nigerian's Ambassador to Thailand

Nasarawa State made history a few days ago when an indigene of the State, His Excellency, Ambassador Sulaiman Azores assumed duty in the Kingdom of Thailand as Nigeria's Ambassador. Ambassador Azores who was nominated by President Umaru Yar'Adua and confirmed by the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, assumed duties in Bangkok after the necessary diplomatic processes was completed.
On assumption of duties in Bangkok, Amb. Azores was accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and his papers were passed to His Majesty, King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
In a letter to the Governor Aliyu Akwe Doma of Nasarawa State, Amb. Azores assured that he will do everything within his capability to ensure that during his tour of duty, Nasarawa State shall benefit from the Thai techonological advancements in the areas of Agriculture, Tourism, Processing of Solid Minerals and other areas that may interest the State Government.
Ambassador Azores is the first indigene of Nasarawa State to be posted to the Asia continent on diplomatic duties.
