Academic Forum: Parent Applauds School Principal

Assistant director in-charges of security an environmental sanitation in the federal ministry of agriculture Abuja, Mallam Jibril Mamman has commended the principal of Government Science Secondary School Tugan-maje in Gwagwalada Area Council of the federal capital territory, Mr. Ejiofor Chidozie for the upliftment of education in the institution.
Mallam Mammam made the commendation in an interview with Nigeria Newsday during the academic forum organized by the authorities of the school recently said that he was impressed with the leadership quality exhibited by the principal in the college.
He pointed out that the school authorities should deem it necessary to checkmate the activities of the students any time of the day in order to enable them to know what the students are doing in the school.
He further called on the school management to make sure that classes are not overcrowding, saying that if the population of the students are too many in a class, it would affect their studies or learning.
The assistant director also appealed to the teachers in the school to decmit fit to giver the students “home work” in their various subjects so as to encourage them in their studies.
Mallam Mamman, however, used the forum as an opportunity to appeal to the parents to attend the academic forum of Government Science Secondary School (GSSS) Tugan-maje whenever they are called upon by the authorities of the institution.
In an interview, the principal of the school, Mr. Ejiofor Chidozie said that his administration would continue to arrest some pending issues affecting the education of the students in the area.
Mr. Chidozie pointed out that the academic forum was organized in order to enable he parents to know the academic performance of their children in the school and urged the parents to attend the academic forum whenever the need arises.
The principal advised the tutors in the school to continue to be dedicated and committees to their work, saying that he was very happy for the hardwork of the teachers.
Speaking in the same vein, the vice-principal academics in the school, Sherk Ahmed Suleja said that he would continue to join hands with the principal of the school to provide the needed educational materials for the students.
The vice principal academics however, said that the students of the school performed well during their NECO/WAEC Examinations and urged the students of the school to continue to devote their time in their studies.
