The death has occurred of Mrs. Patricia Ajene Ejembi, wife of the Managing Editor Nigerian Newsday newspaper Mr. Mike Ejembi. She died in a ghastly motor accident along Markurdi- Lafia road.

Late Mrs. Ejembi who was a retired Nursing officer hailed form Emichi Agadagba Ohimini Local Government Area of Benue State.

She was laid to rest on June 6th, 2008. She is survived by her husband and seven children.

Meanwhile the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Nigerian Newsday chapel has condoled the managing editor on the death of his wife.

In a press statement signed by the chairman, Mr. Tukura Matthew described the death of Mrs Patricia Ejembi as an act of God.

He said her death came at the time when her lovely and motherly care was needed most and urged the family to accept the death in good faith.

Mr. Matthew said her death was a loss not only to the family but to the entire country because of her contribution to the Nursing profession.

He then prayed God to give the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
