According to the Governor, the workshop will offer participants an opportunity to take a deeper look into the procedural and operational challenges faced in the prosecution process. He stated that the Ministry of Justice was organising the workshop because it is necessary for all agencies in the administration of justice to constantly interact with a view to understanding their roles and responsibilities of furthering the course of justice.

The workshop which is being attended by investigating and prosecuting police officers is meant to sharpen the skills of the officers as well as ensure the successful prosecution of criminal cases in the State.

Earlier while welcoming participants to the workshop, the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Suleiman Nchi stated that this was the first time such a workshop was organized for investigators anywhere in the country.

The Commissioner also charged the participants to see the Ministry of Justice as partners in progress and work hard to ensure that there were no loopholes when they investigated criminal activities.
