These include the introduction of monthly environmental sanitation; completion of chairman’s cup competitions; hosting of cultural festival; production of hand book documentary on Karshi Development Area; presentation of award to best performing staff of the year; honouring of prominent sons of Karshi Development Area among others.
She made this known during the one Year Anniversary Dinner which she organized for stakeholders of Karshi Development Area and in honour of Senate President, National Children’s Parliament, Senator Ibrahim Adamu, who hails from Karshi Development Area.
The DPM said the dinner was organized to share joy and to show appreciation to all stakeholders for supporting her programmes and also used the occasion to donate a plot of land at Uke to Senate President, Ibrahim Adamu, as a mark of honour. Hon Jeremiah Joshua who was recently elected as honourable member Children’s parliament Nasarawa State from Karshi Development Area, was also recognized at the occasion.
In his response, the Senate president National Children’s parliament, Senator Ibrahim Adamu, thanked the DPM for the donation and honour done to him. He promised to continue working for the grassroot development.
A cross section of stakeholders who spoke at the dinner, enjoined the people of the area to give the DPM all the needed support to continue in her good administration.
The occasion which was chaired by Chief Iliya Dikko was attended by many dignitaries from across the state.
In another development, the DPM Karshi Development Area, Mrs. Maryam S. Tama (JP), has been commended for the hospitality accorded to all Corp members serving in the area.
This recommendation was made by Nasarawa State National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) Director Mr. Peter Olugbenga Atilola, during a visit to the DPM in her office in Karshi last Tuesday.
Responding, the DPM expressed gratitude for the visit saying it was an avenue for relevant authorities to look into problem affecting corp members with a view to addressing them.
