Nigeria Union of local government Employee football club of Loko (NULGE F.C) has won the Maiden edition of the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) football competition for youths in the local development area.

The team defeated its arch rival chalk power football club of Loko by 4-3 on penalties, after a tension soaked 120 minutes of action that finished without producing a goal.

It was a day that saw both teams displayed high football skills, 70 minutes into the game NULGE goal keeper Papa Perform Wonderfully well when chalk Power striker came face to face with the goal keeper twice after beating the two defenders but all his short where stop by NULGE keeper who was the man of the match.

It was a thrilling encounter that a lot of people watch with keen interest and cheer their respective term.

Speaking shortly before the presentation of the trophy, the Director of Personal Management Loko Development Area, Alhaji Abubakar Ella said the main objective of the competition was to create a forum for engaging youths in football competition annually.

He said the competition is to create a spirit of love, unity and co-operation among the youths and advised the youths to shun bad habits and engage themselves in ventures that would make them productive.

The D.P.M. appealed to elders and elite of the area to provide opportunity that could make the youths in the area useful.

Present at the final which took play at G.S.S Loko were, His Royal Highness Sarki Loko and His Royal Highness Oche Agatu.
