Governor Aliyu Akwe Doma has charged judicial officers in the State to carry out their assignments with the highest sense of responsibility, integrity and professionalism. The Governor made this call while performing the swearing-in ceremony of the newly appointed Grand Khadi of the Nasarawa State Sharia Court of Appeal, three Judges of the High Court and a Judge of the Customary Court of Appeal.
 
In the words of Governor Doma, "you must at all times endeavour to dispense justice expeditiously, as justice delayed is justice denied. The judicial officers whose appointments where recently approved by Governor Doma on the recommendations of the National Judicial Council are:

• Alhaji Mohammed Sarki Abdullahi - Grand Khadi
• Barrister Simon Ozashi Aboki - High Court Judge
• Barrister Audu Bako Oka - High Court Judge
• Barrister Rose Godwin Soji - High Court Judge, and
• Barrister Osabo Osagede Emmanuel - Judge of the Customary Court of Appeal.

Addressing the judges, Governor Doma said the appointments were in pursuit of his Administration's commitment to the entrenchment of democracy through the rule of law and determination to strengthen the judicial arm of Government.
 
The Governor restated his commitment to enhance the general welfare of judicial officers in the State. To this end, the Administration has approved the renovation of existing court buildings and residential accommodation for judges. Plans have also been concluded for the construction of more court buildings before the end of the year. In the same vein, the Administration has also facilitated the establishment of a Federal High Court in Lafia which is soon to take off.
 
Responding on behalf of the judicial officers, the Grand Khadi stated that they will do all within their capacity to ensure the smooth administration and delivery of justice in the State.
