Activities marking the First Year Anniversary of Governor Aliyu Akwe Doma as Governor of Nasarawa State have continued in Lafia. Today’s activities included the commissioning of the Conference hotel constructed by the Nasarawa State Investments and Property Development Company (NIPDC) Ltd.

Speaking at the occasion, Governor Aliyu Akwe Doma stated that the initiative of the Board and Management of the NIPDC in conceiving and financing the construction of the project is commendable and a challenge to other government owned companies.

The Governor used to the occasion to appeal to indigenous private sector players to follow the footsteps of the NIPDC by investing in the hospitality industry. In the same vein, the Governor assured prospective investors who have so far indicated interest in partnering with Government in development, of Government commitment to encourage them.

It will be recalled that the NIPDC constructed the hotel from its internally generated funds and it has become one of the imposing edifices in the State capital.
