Governor Aliyu Akwe Doma has said that his administration will continue to pay attention to the development of youth in Nasarawa State. The Governor was speaking when the House of Representative Committee on Youth paid him a courtesy call at Government House, Lafia.

The Governor stated that his administration realises that youths must be groomed to take over the mantle of leadership in the state in future. To achieve this, the Governor said the administration was putting in place programmes to develop the potential of youth. Amongst the programmes he mentioned was the youth skills acquisition scheme which is meant to provide employment opportunities for the less educated youth in our state. The Governor also said he will ensure that youths were prepared socially, politically and socially for the challenges of development.

Earlier, the Leader of the team and House Committee Chairman on youths said they were in the state to inspect facilities provided by the government for the National Youth Service Corps. He commended government for the wonderful facilities at the NYSC camp in Keffi and said they were the best in the country.
