EDITORIAL: Deaths on African roads

The recent report on global road accidents has again revealed that Africa has the highest record of deaths through rood accidents even though the continent accounts for less than ten per cent of vehicles in the world.  According to the report, Africa accounts for more than 40 per cent of the 1.2 million people who perish yearly through road accidents globally.

NASACA, an acronym for Nasarawa State AIDS Control Agency is an off-shoot of the Nasarawa State Action Committee on Aids (SACA).  The transformation of what was hitherto known as Action Committee on Aids to NASACA, no doubt, was necessitated by the present administration’s resolve to address squarely issues that constitute threat to the health of the citizenry.

Nasarawa State commissioner for commerce, industries and cooperative, Alhaji Yusuf Loko, has called on cooperative societies to widen their scope of revenue generation so as to position themselves for the challenges ahead.
